Hi there, I’m Fru, the main brain behind Fru+.
I’m passionate about two things.
One is freediving.
The other is helping businesses become truly unique and strong brands.
Empathy, ratio, a structured approach, emotions, creativity, a bunch of different cultural influences, experimentation, and my professional and life experiences all come together in what I do. With great joy and dedication – for years now, and counting.
What is the story behind FRU+You?
Branding projects are ideally a collaboration of the owner and the designer. Each contributing their own insights and expertise, we create a brand solid in many aspects.
The + emphasizes the participative aspect of branding.
Fru+ would never be complete without You.
During my work at design agencies and as a freelancer I slowly developed my own process and approach to design.
My vision is to contribute positively to this world through creating for businesses with a good purpose.
All this combined called Fru+ to existence.
Biography
Much of my childhood was spent drawing and crafting. Following my dreams, I studied graphic design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Belgium - where I got my MA. Chasing another dragon, I participated in a research program in Japan - collecting life-changing experiences. During and after this time I was working with design agencies and freelanced along the way. Ever since I am location-independent, enjoying immersing myself in different cultures. I have a dog and a lot of fish friends.
